The Junior Embroiderers’ section of the Guild is devoted to encouraging and supporting young people who want to take up embroidery and textiles, from those just making their first stitches to students wanting to base their careers on this area of art and design.
Just like the adult members of the Embroiderers’ Guild, the Young Embroiderers’ are encouraged to participate in an annual members’ competition which is known as the de Denne Competition. It usually has the same theme as the Member’s Challenge and is judged on interpretation, skills and originality.

Brighton Embroidery Group has a group of young embroiderers calling themselves Brighton Young Stitchers and the children stitched these in January or February which seems a life time ago but the enjoyed making something useful and using their skills.
Coastal Threads ( formerly Worthing Saturday EG)
East Surrey East Surrey YE is open to all boys and girls between the ages of 8 – 16 years old and we would love to welcome you!. The group meets on Saturdays about 6 times a year at Scout Headquarters, Timperley Gardens, Redhill RH1 2AR.
